WIN a 4 night Cruise for 2 on board MSC Splendida

These terms, conditions, and rules apply to the Jenny’s Travel Social Media Competition (“the competition”), which is being run by Jenny’s Travel.

1. WHEN DOES THE COMPETITION START AND END?

• The competition period starts at 11:00 a.m. on 30 June 2023 and will run until 31 August 2023.


• The organisers reserve the right to change the duration of the competition period.

 WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO WIN?

• All South African residents

WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN?

The following persons will forfeit any prizes awarded to them (and another entrant will be drawn):

• any full-time employee of Jenny’s Travel or MSC.


• the spouse, life partner, siblings, children, or parents of any of the persons named above


• anyone who has won a Jenny’s Travel competition in the last year.


• Please note that this prise requires you to cross the borders of South Africa and therefore a valid passport is required for entry.


• Should the passports/travel documents not be valid at the time of travel, the prize winners forfeit the prize as rebooking is not possible. 

PRIZES

• Prizes will be detailed in the competition posts.


• Prizes are limited to one per person.


• Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.


• Images used in the promotion materials are an approximation of the prizes and actual products may differ in appearance.

HOW WILL WINNERS BE NOTIFIED?

• Following the draw, winners will be contacted and notified via email and on social media.


• Winners may also be announced via Social Media platforms available to Jenny’s Travel; however, this does not constitute proper notification to the winner, who will still be contacted via email.

HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE

• Instructions for delivery of prizes will be in the email notification to the winners.


• Prizes will either be delivered by Jenny’s Travel electronically.


• When the prize is delivered, the winner must produce a valid means of identification, e.g. passport, driver’s licence or South African ID book.*

WHAT HAPPENS IF JENNY’S TRAVEL CANNOT CONTACT THE WINNER, OR IF THE WINNER IS NOT ABLE TO COLLECT THE PRIZE?

• Jenny’s Travel does not accept any responsibility for incorrect email address details, or the non-delivery of the email notification to the winner.


• If a prize is not claimed within 10 days of the prize-winner being announced and/or notified, the winner will forfeit the prize and another prize-winner will be drawn

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED:

• Flights to and from Durban


• Transfers to and from Durban harbor


• All drinks, optional shore excursions and any items of a personal nature


• Mandatory fees 

GENERAL

1. This prize letter is only valid for the person who won the prize


2. Under no circumstances can any aspect of this prize be transferred to someone else, amended, extended or exchanged for cash


3. The prize winner and travel companions must be in possession of valid passport 


4. This prize is only redeemable for the cruise departing on 22 January 2024


5. Subject to availability at the time of booking


6. Please note for the prize to be claimed, passenger details are to be provided, or the prize will be forfeited (passengers will not be able to board the ship without a cruise ticket)

8. Entry into promotional competitions will be deemed acceptance of these rules, terms and conditions as stipulated by Jenny’s Travel (“the Promoter”).


9. Participants must be 18 years and older to qualify for participation in promotional competitions. 


10. Winners will be notified via specific channel via the promotional competition is hosted. The Promoter will take all reasonable steps to notify the winner, however, in the event that the Promoter is unable to contact with winner within at least 12/24 depending on prize dates of the random selection which was used to select the winner, then a new winner shall be selected. 


11. The promotional competition is exclusive to South African residents only and is closed to any persons who are directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants of or any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by the company or marketing service providers, or spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members. In addition, all Jenny’s Travel employees are precluded from participation in the promotional competition.


12. Entry to the promotional competition is free. Participants can enter as many times as possible. 


13. The promoter reserves the right to request such documents as it may deem necessary in order to verify the identity of the participant.


14. Entries will be considered incomplete and thus disqualified if the participant does not provide all required information including, but not limited to, name and surname, telephone number and email address. 


15. The prize winner(s) will be selected by either a random draw or meeting the winning criteria first, after the closing date. Prize winners will be notified by Jenny’s Travel using the appropriate personal details of the persons concerned which it has on record. Also Jenny’s Travel reserves the right to publish the name(s), surname(s) and/or photograph(s) of the winner(s) and the winner(s) consents to such publication.


16. Prize(s) are not transferable and may not be exchanged for cash.


17. By virtue of participation, participants consent to the promoter obtaining, processing and retaining their personal information (Protected Personal Information), which may include the involvement of the promoter’s third party agent. Also, participants consent to the promoter retaining their personal information for as long as is necessary to further the legitimate business interests of the promoter and that the promoter may take reasonable steps to update or destroy such information.


18. Participants accept that Jenny’s Travel takes reasonable and practical steps to safeguard Protected Personal Information in its possession. In addition, it is possible for errors or malfunctions to occur. To the fullest extent permissible by law, participants hereby indemnify and holds harmless Jenny’s Travel, its employees and agents against any liability, damages and/or legal action whatsoever and howsoever arising, including negligence on the part of Jenny’s Travel, its employees or agents and Jenny’s Travel shall not accept liability for any damages or any type of loss suffered by participants who enter this promotional competition.


19. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the promotional competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.


20. In the event that Jenny’s Travel makes any indulgence or deviation of these terms and conditions in favour of participants, then such indulgence or deviation shall not be misconstrued to be a breach or waiver of these terms and conditions or any rights of Jenny’s Travel.


21. The above clauses are severable from each other. In the event that any clause or part thereof is unenforceable in law, then that clause or part thereof shall be severed from these terms and conditions, and the surviving clauses and parts thereof shall remain in force.
